Anna Wintour refuses to let go of fur

She has had fake blood, rice, cakes and all sorts of other things thrown at her, but fashion icon and editor-in-chief Anna Wintour of American Vogue will not give up on her beloved fur products. Due to her prominent and powerful position in the fashion industry, Wintour has been the target of animal rights groups for years. For instance, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has distributed posters that describe Wintour as ‘ugly’.
This week, she was interviewed in the journalistic magazine 60 Minutes on CBS, where she was confronted with her passion for fur.
- I love fur and fur is still a part of the fashion industry, so Vogue will continue to report on it, says Anna Wintour, who has been physically attacked by activists so many times that she has “lost count”. Today, Wintour is surrounded by security when she appears in public, but not even that will change her mind:
- Am I supposed to skip security and not wear fur? No way!
